2013 Dance Recital
"Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion." - Martha Graham

To begin I’d like to give the spot light to Ms Amy Converset for all her hard work she put into the show and working with the most amazing students. The whole recital was very well done; but the dance will be focused on “Hey Ho” by the Lumineers preformed by the whole class. The costumes were very original with black leggings, and plaid shirts. With the big class and suck a little stage the organization of where the dancers would be without hitting each other would have taken a little to organize and have the dancers get used to their surroundings. Lastly the lighting was well done, giving the whole stage light but when they came all together in the end, the middle spot light gave a really good effect. Also to add was the whole dance itself, with the chirography, for those who have seen the music video the girls had put together their ‘story’ to b related back, by being apart in the beginning to coming together in the end. Speaking with Alysha Reece “The class had to overcome many obstacles like our lines for ‘the this’.” And speaking to Alicia Madere “In groups we each had to come up with combinations for a certain section for the dance, I really enjoyed choreographing this dance.” Being a part of the audience, the dance was very well put together, showing each dancer’s strengths and weaknesses in specific ways. The last few words from Ms Converset “I’m very proud of all my girls, they did an amazing job showing off their dance skills for the audience.” I’d like to give another round of applause to these girls, they certainly did an amazing job, and good luck to those that had their last dance recital for next year and the years to come.
